Now that’s a good looking bracket!

March Madness may be cancelled, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy a little competition! The next bracket in our ongoing Bracket Series focuses on something near and dear to our heart… Superheroes! We’re pitting Marvel versus DC in the ultimate Superhero showdown, and this time, you can participate! Create your own personal version of our Superhero Bracket and if you follow our competition rules and match up with an identical bracket to ours, we’ll send you a discount code to the WatchMojo Store!

We’ll be publishing 3 videos,

  • Thursday, March 19th – video #1 for the Marvel side of the bracket
  • Friday, March 20th – video #2 for the DC side of the bracket
  • Saturday, March 21st – video #3 final between DC and Marvel for the crowning of the Ultimate Superhero!

Want to participate?

The first round competitors are set and our first video will publish on March 19th, but if you’d like to play along and create your own bracket, here’s what you’ve got to do.

  • Make sure you have a Google account (you can pretty easily create one if you don’t already have one)
  • If you have a Google account, you can use this link and then click “File” to “Make a copy” which you can then edit (if on mobile device, you may have to open Google Sheets app)
  • From there, follow the instructions in the READ ME section found at the bottom(or top depending on device) of the page and make your picks to fill out your bracket! Good luck!

As long as you submit your version of the bracket back to us by March 18th, you will be eligible. You can either share it back to the designated email address, or send the PDF version to that same email address. Don’t forget to share your bracket out on your social networks and tag WatchMojo so that we can re-share you!

Good luck and may the best Superhero win!

WatchMojo’s Person of the Decade! In a new Bracket format!

We’ll be revealing the first round of each quadrant over the next 4 days!

How do you pick the Person of the Decade?

In honour of the end of the 2010’s, and as part of our BEST OF THE DECADE series, WatchMojo wanted to do something special to select our choice for Person of the Decade. We decided we’d create an NCAA style competition bracket to determine who had the best 10 year period. We weighed a lot of different factors in terms of their consistent success, overall success, versatility, personality and more. We also broke it down into 4 different quadrants: Movies, TV, Sports and Music.

This was not an easy process! Our internal teams argued endlessly over some of the matchups and we had to make some tough decisions. Ultimately, we won’t be able to please everyone, but there is no denying that the winners of each quadrant were at the top of their game for the past 10 years.

Tune in on Monday the 16th!

The full video will be available to watch on Monday, December 16th on our YouTube Channel and in the days leading up we will be revealing the individuals included in the first round by quadrant. So, tomorrow, we will update this post with the first round of the Movies category. Come check it out and let us know who you think should win each match up!

We’re excited about this new format and can’t wait to create more videos in this style. Please leave a comment if you have ideas for what to “bracketify” next! In the meantime, check out our Best of 2019 series for the best and worst of pop culture in 2019!

WatchMojo’s Best of the Decade! Help us rank the last 10 years!

WatchMojo loves the number 10. What better way to celebrate that than to look back at the last 10 years and rank the 10 best (and worst!) of all the things we love. Movies, Video Games, TV/Streaming, Anime! So much has been created and released in the past decade that it’s hard to nail down the perfect rank. That’s where you come in! WatchMojo has always been about audience involvement as well, and for this Best of the Decade special feature, we need you more than ever to help us rank a whole bunch of new lists.

Below you will find links to all the brand new voting pages that we have created specifically for this series. You can vote right away on these lists!

Thanks for voting! We’ll be publishing these topics with the final, official WatchMojo rank in November, so keep an eye out for videos and don’t hesitate to suggest more Best of the Decade ideas at http://www.WatchMojo.com/suggest!

5 Game of Thrones Products Every Super Fan Will Want

The greatest show on TV may be ending, but that doesn’t mean you can’t gear up with some cool stuff?

Our expert Game of Thrones team have picked 5 products that they feel every serious Game of Thrones fan would be happy to own. Treat yourself!

Note: We hope you like the products we recommend! Just so you know, WatchMojo may collect a share of sales from the links on this page.

Game of Thrones Longclaw Sword of Jon Snow

This version of Longclaw, House Mormont’s sword which Ser Jeor gifted to Jon Snow, comes from HBO’s Game of Thrones. It was modeled directly on the actual screen-used prop from the show. It is not full-tang, so don’t go trying to kill a wight with it. However, it’ll look lovely on your wall, hanging from its plaque with the Night’s Watch Oath silkscreened upon it.

Game of Thrones Westeros Glass Map

Even though this map doesn’t pop up like the official Game of Thrones intro, it’s still an impressive addition to any fan’s collection. This Game of Thrones Westeros Glass Map features all of your favorite landmarks from the hit HBO show. You have to provide your own theme song though. We can’t give you the whole intro experience in a map. Then the real thing wouldn’t be as special.

Game of Thrones Hand of the Queen Front-Pocket Wallet

Show everyone that you’re worthy of trust and power with this Hand of the Queen front-pocket wallet. Be careful though, being the Hand is a lot of responsibility. Just ask Ned Stark. All we’re saying is don’t lose your head just for a really cool title.

A Game of Thrones Catan

In Game of Thrones Catan: Brotherhood of the Watch, you’ll try to manage resources while dealing with attacks against the wall which may rob you blind. Oh, and during all of this, you’ll also be competing for the title of Commander of The Night’s Watch. This game is perfect for people who criticize Jon Snow’s leadership. There’s nothing like a calm low-stress game, right?

Game of Thrones Table Runners

The solution is right here, with this exclusive set of table runners straight outta Westeros! Each one features the colors and sigil of a different Game of Thrones House – Stark, Targaryen, or Lannister – so you can make your family feel like royalty (while also making the seating arrangements a subtle popularity contest, because #familydrama). Seat yourself at the table for the House you think deserves the Iron Throne, and hope that none of the other tables rise up to march against you.

And there you have it! 5 awesome Game of Thrones products that any fan would be proud to own. Especially that sword… I mean, come on!

Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay trailer drops! Watch it here!

Whoa! 6 whole minutes of in-game footage from Red Dead Redemption 2!  This game looks insane and the video showcases some of the impressive gameplay elements such as the ability to decide how you want to interact with other characters, which will then have an effect on how things play out in the future.  You also get to become best friends with your horse!  The MojoPlays crew is hard at work on a reaction video to this new trailer, but in the meantime, check out our video on the Top 10 Things RDR2 Needs to Get Right:

Only 2 months left until the game is released. Will be interesting to see what other information and preview content will trickle out between now and then.  Rockstar typically holds things pretty close to its chest and this game has been no exception.  Does this trailer get you more excited than you already were for this game?  Let us know in the comments!

The Best of 2018… So Far!

Time to vote on the best of 2018 so far!

Well, we’re halfway through 2018 and a whole bunch has happened.  Some good, some terrible, some memorable and some instantly forgettable.  It’s time to take a mid-year look back at all that’s been released across Movies, Television, Video Games and Music and start ranking the hell out of everything.  We’ve created voting pages for all 4 categories and seeded them with a bunch of options, but need your help to crowd-source the ultimate MyMojo rank.  The data from these lists will then be used to create the official WatchMojo ranking as seen in the videos to be released on our YouTube channel.   So, without further delay, here are the links to the MyMojo voting pages:

Top 10 Movies of 2018 So Far  – Do one of the low budget, but terrifying Horror movies like A Quiet Place or Hereditary take a top spot?  Where does Infinity War fit in?  Does Solo squeeze into the Top 10?  Lots of room for debate and discussion on this topic already.

Top 10 TV Shows of 2018 So Far – With no Game of Thrones season this year, there is a bit of a vacuum at the top… who’s gonna take it at this halfway point?  Something else from HBO like Westworld? Or something completely different like Donald Glover’s ambitious and surprising Atlanta?  Lots of amazing True Crime shows so far this year with shows like Wild, Wild Country and Dirty Money, both coming from Netflix.

Top 10 Video Games of 2018 So Far – A couple of massive tentpole games have dropped at this point and gamers will surely have their preference between titles like God of War and Monster Hunter: World, but there have also been a slew of excellent indie games released like Into The Breach and Subnautica that will surely factor into the rank.

Top 10 Songs of 2018 So Far – Yes, it’s true… there is more music available now than ever and it’s hard to stay on top of everything new that is released. Which is exactly why this list will be so important! Giants like Kanye and Drake have both released new music, but can some lesser known acts like Beach House or James Bay sneak into the Top 10?  And what about Childish Gambino!

So, lots to think about and lots to vote on.  As usual, we rely on our users voting to create our videos and couldn’t do what we do without you, so…. thanks!  If you need any additional inspiration, here’s a few videos to get you going:
