Can It Measure Up To The Sinfully Fun Series?
Seems that the likes of Meliodas and the rest of the Sins are doing quite well for themselves at the moment. Not only have they burst back onto the small screen to take on the demonic scourge known as the Ten Commandments, but they’ve got their own video game in the works!
Going by the name Knights of Britannia, the game appears to be following the trend of other anime-inspired hits such as the One Piece Unlimited World series and Gintama Rumble. By trend, we of course mean crazy special moves, an aesthetic that closely resembles the show, and a roster of characters that includes even the most useless of characters. Yes, Hawk the Pig is a playable fighter.
That being said, games like these have always had a bad track record of lacking when it comes to overall content. While they certainly manage to nail the style, the hack and slash elements can become rather shallow after a while. Hopefully this won’t be the case with the Sins, as according to an article on Anime News Network, Bandai Namco seem to be expanding on other aspects such as exploration and level progression.
The game willship in the Americas and Europe on February 9. People who pre-order the game will receive a product code to download exclusive character costumes.
Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed the game has a “high-tension and fast-paced action fighting style” where players can “experience an enticing story line and plenty of places in Britannia to explore.” Players will be able to “play through memorable fights with famous characters such as Meliodas, Elizabeth, Hawk, and others in all of their unique fighting styles.”
