Haikyu Is Getting Two Compilation Movies

The Crows Take Flight Again

The boys over at Karasuno High didn’t just give us a decent sports anime, they flat out smashed the competition, soaring to new heights in terms of acclaim and fan popularity.

Not to mention the fact they made volleyball seem like the manliest sport in existence.

If you need another excuse to step back out onto the court and see Shoyo, Kageyama and the rest bring their A-Game, then you’re in luck as the anime is receiving two more compilation films, ones that are set to cover the series’ second and third series.

According to an article on Crunchyroll

Volleyball series Haikyu!! is back for another pair of anime compilation films. The first compilation film “Owari to Hajimari (The Beginning and The End),” based on the TV anime first season’s first to 13th episodes, was released on July 3, 2015, then the second film based on the 14th to 25th episodes followed on September 18 of the year. Its third compilation film “Sainou to Sense (Talent and Sense)” will be released in Japan on September 15, 2107, then the fourth film “Concept no Tatakai (Battle of Concepts)” will follow two weeks later, September 29.

The third film is based on the TV anime second season that was aired for 25 episodes from October 2015 to March 2016. And the fourth film compiles the 10 episodes of the TV anime third season “Karasuno High School vs Shiratorizawa Academy” aired from October to December in 2016.

Given the thrilling matches and unbridled emotions that stem from these later series, here’s hoping that the movies are able to capture the same heart and ferocity that made the show such a standout, albeit in a more streamlined form.

Just…please don’t make us watch the boys cry, we can’t go through that again.
