Telltale Games fans rejoice! Three of the best games the studio has ever produced are getting new seasons in the upcoming months.
The first series to get a new season is going to be Batman, whose latest episode was released in December 2016. The second season is set to be released on August 8 and will be a five-part series. In the studio’s own words, here’s what players can expect:
In this latest chapter, both Bruce Wayne and Batman will be forced into precarious new roles. The Riddler has returned to terrorize Gotham City, but his gruesome puzzles merely foreshadow an even greater crisis. With the arrival of a ruthless federal agent and the return of a still nascent Joker, Batman must navigate uneasy alliances while Bruce Wayne undertakes a perilous series of deceptions. Which of Batman’s new allies will you choose to trust? And how deep into the darkness will you let Bruce descend?
Expected to debut sometime in 2018 is the fourth – and sadly the last – season of the Walking Dead, which has been one of the best games that Telltale has released. According to Telltale, while season 3 somewhat deviated from the main storyline and introduced a new character, the fourth season will return the focus to Clementine. We don’t know what exactly is going to happen to her, but we’re pretty sure it’s going to be dark, bloody, yet entertaining.
Last but definitely not least, fan-favorite The Wolf Among Us will also be getting its long-awaited second season. For context, fans have been waiting for a sequel to this game since 2014. But in case you haven’t heard of it before, The Wolf Among Us is Telltale’s adaptation of the comic Fables, published by DC Comic’s Vertigo. According to Telltale, the new season will be “a standalone product separate from season one,” with a “fresh” story, but everybody’s favorite big-bad-wolf Bigby Wolf and Snow White will be returning.
